It’ll cost a little more to hop a bus in Winnipeg in the new year. The city has issued the following release, reminding Winnipeg Transit riders the latest bus fare hike comes into effect Jan.1, 2013.
Regular and Handi-Transit fares will go up five cents to $2.50.
Reduced and senior fares will be $2.00.
A monthly bus pass will cost $82.80.
Your 2012 bus tickets will be accepted until March 31, but you’ll need to add the extra cash to cover the difference.
