A fire damaged a house and forced the evacuation of another in the North End overnight.
Firefighters received a report of someone smelling smoke in the 200 block of College Avenue. When they arrived, they saw smoke coming from the basement of a two-storey house.
The fire spread to the roof before firefighters brought it under control.
No one was injured in the fire, but firefighters evacuated the house next to the burning building as a precaution.
A damage estimate is not yet available.
