Winnipeg police are asking for the public’s help finding a man that robbed a convenience store at knifepoint Saturday morning.

At 4 a.m. a man went into a convenience store in the 3300 block of Portage Avenue with a large knife and began grabbing lottery tickets and cigarettes from behind the counter, police said.

The man fled and no one was injured.

Police are now looking for a white man who is about five-foot-ten (178 centimetres), 180 pounds (82 kilograms) with dirty blond hair, large sideburns and an average build. The man looked to be about 24 to 25 years old, police said.
