Sylvia Kuzyk was presented with the prairie region lifetime achievement award by the Radio and Television News Directors Association in Edmonton on Thursday evening.
Kuzyk is currently the producer and host of Spotlight, the arts and entertainment segment of CTV Winnipeg, and is a CTV Skywatch Weather Specialist.
She was one the first female broadcasters in Western Canada and has reported for CTV News for more than 30 years.
CTV News Winnipeg as a whole was also recognized with an award for the best television newscast in a large market in the prairie region for our coverage, including our team coverage of the ice jams last year.
