Driver of transport truck that rolled, killed hogs gets $200 ticket

RCMP have handed a $200 ticket to the driver of a semi trailer that rolled over May 8, killing and injuring a number of pigs.

The truck was transporting hogs on Highway 1 near the RM of Whitehead when it rolled into the median.

Several animals were injured or killed in the crash, but the male driver was not hurt.

RCMP have now given a 21-year-old Brandon man a ticket for imprudent driving. The ticket carries a fine of $199.80.
