An overnight fire at Reliance Products on Sherwin Road caused $250,000 in damage and sent one worker to hospital.

Firefighters said it started in a storage silo containing plastic resin pellets around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Winnipeg police also responded and said one employee was taken to hospital in stable condition due to a pre-existing medical condition that was aggravated during the fire.

Structure damage is estimated at $50,000 dollars and nearly $200,000 worth of products were destroyed.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
