A man in Winnipeg faces numerous fraud charges in connection with an alleged driveway sealing scam.

Police say a man targeted homeowners who recently had their driveways repaved.

The allege he claimed he was with the company that did the job, and that the needed to pay extra to seal the asphalt.

Police say the work -- which was done between 2009 and 2011 - was performed in a substandard manner.

Barry Wayne Martin, 49, of Winnipeg has been detained at the Provincial Remand Centre.
