Home invasion sends victim to hospital in critical condition

Emergency crews rushed a 25-year-old man to hospital after a home invasion on Sunday.
Around 8:30 a.m. March 9, police and emergency crews responded to the 300 block of Aberdeen Avenue.
Two residents had been asleep when they woke and found three suspects inside their home.
One of the suspects held down the woman, while the two other suspects assaulted the 25-year-old male resident, said police.
The suspects fled before police and paramedics responded.
Crews rushed the male victim to hospital in critical condition, while the woman suffered minor injuries.
The police canine team helped other units investigating at the scene.
Daris Sinclair, 22, of Winnipeg faces charges for aggravated assault, uttering threats and break and enter – commit assault, said police.
The major crimes unit continues to investigate.
