Winnipeg police's homicide unit is investigating a suspicious death in the Point Douglas area.
A 46-year-old male was found dead in a residence in the 200 block of Austin Street North.
Police were called around 9:20 p.m. on Tuesday.
Injuries found on the victim appear suspicious in nature, said police.
People in the area said there was partying at the home, then banging noises heard around 4 p.m. that day.
The cause of death has not been confirmed and an autopsy is scheduled.
No arrests had been made, said police on Wednesday morning.
