An autopsy has found that 73-year-old Elizabeth Lafantaisie was strangled to death, police said on Saturday.
Her body was found in the trunk of her vehicle on Feb. 24 on Lewis Street near River Avenue, said police.
Police had initiated a massive search for Lafantaisie after she went missing on Feb. 18.
On Feb. 28, police arrested and charged Thomas Brine with first-degree murder in Lafantaisie's death.
