Hundreds of people lined up outside the palomino club for its final night of fun.

The doors finally opened at 8:00 p.m. as people slowly filed in. The dance floor remained full at the legendary club on Portage Avenue for its last weekend.

The Palomino Club has played host to party-goers since 1988, but on Saturday the Portage Avenue hot spot closed its doors for good.

The Pal has featured many famous music acts, including a young Faith Hill, and Ronnie Dunn, who once showed up unannounced and played a free concert.

"I don't think you can ever prepare yourself to say that you know, when you start a business, that it's going to last so long, or impact so many people, but at the end of the day that's in fact what happened. It's turned into a legend in its own way," said managing partner Cary Paul.

A developer is turning the well-known night club into condos.

Paul says he's still toying with the idea of opening up a new bar in a new location.
