An 18-year-old man is facing charges after a Winnipeg Transit bus driver was shot by a BB gun.
Police say the driver was hit by a BB from an air pistol shot from a vehicle that was travelling near next to the bus Wednesday at about 4:45 p.m. on Partridge Avenue near McGregor Street.
The 50-year-old bus driver did not need medical attention.
He was able to get the licence plate number of the suspect vehicle and call police.
Officers managed to arrest the 18-year-old man a short time later.
The man, who is facing numerous charges, including discharging an air gun or pistol with intent and possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose, was released on a promise to appear in court.
Police did not release the name of the man charged.
