A 24-year-old man is recovering from serious injuries after he was attacked and carjacked.

The man was parked on Marlow Court shortly before 4:30 a.m. Wednesday when a dark coloured older model car pulled up.

Two men, unknown to the victim, came at him and demanded he get out of his car. They then chased and attacked him before taking off with both vehicles.

“That’s not something we typically see,” said Det.-Sgt. Natalie Aitken with the Winnipeg police.

Police said the victim required medical attention.

Both suspects are aboriginal in appearance, in their 20's and were wearing hoodies. One had a heavy build, the other a slim build. The stolen car is silver with tinted windows, a broken passenger window and a missing front grill.
