Manitoba RCMP is searching for the suspect of an armed robbery of a Beausejour, Man., store over the weekend.

Police began to investigate on Sunday around 10:30 p.m. when officers were notified of a robbery at a business on Park Avenue.

By the time RCMP got to the store, the suspect had already left with cash.

Police investigated and determined that a man went into the store with a bandana covering his face. Officers allege he then demanded money from an employee while brandishing what was described as a black handgun.

The employee was not physically hurt.

Mounties describe the suspect as mid-thirties, tall, and about 200 pounds. He was wearing a red hoodie pulled up over his head, a white bandana covering his face, a blue plaid jacket, red sweatpants with a black spider over the knee, and grey/brown skate shoes.

The suspect was last seen heading north on Fifth Street.

At this time, police do not know if he was working alone or if others were involved.

Police have provided surveillance images of the suspect. Anyone with information is asked to call RCMP or Crime Stoppers.

Police continue to investigate.
