Manitoba’s Jones loses to Ontario in Scotties finals

It was a disappointing finish for Jennifer Jones in the finals at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Kingston, after a close win against former champion Team Canada in the semi-finals.

Ontario’s Rachel Homan won 9-6 against Jones Sunday night.

Things got off to a rough start for Manitoba, with Ontario scoring three. Manitoba battled back, but it wasn’t enough to win against the only team that beat them all week.

It’s the first time since 1996 a team from Ontario has captured the Canadian Women’s Championships.

Jones lost a game Saturday against Ontario, and had a rocky start in their game against Team Canada.
