Manitobans mark Louis Riel Day

Manitobans are celebrating Louis Riel Day across the province on Monday.

Louis Riel Day was first marked in 2008.

Riel was a Métis leader who was a driving force in Manitoba becoming a province.

Special events are slated for Festival du Voyageur, which runs through to Feb. 27.
