The Idle No More movement continued to gather steam Saturday night with two large-scale protests taking place at Winnipeg malls.

Hundreds of protestors took to Portage Place Shopping Centre and Polo Park mall to execute flash mobs.

Around 7 p.m. hundreds of people joined hands and formed massive circles in Polo Park mall’s centre court. Some protestors beat drums while protestors moved around the centre court.

The Idle No More movement has seen numerous protests in Winnipeg and across Canada in recent months.

Demonstrators are requesting action from the federal government on aboriginal issues, including changes to the controversial Bill C-45. First Nations leaders say the bill encroaches on land, water and treaty rights of aboriginal people.
