Police were called to numerous locations in Winnipeg on Friday after two men armed with a knife and pepper spray went on a crime spree.

The first incident happened just before 9 a.m. in the 2000 block of Corydon when the two suspects confronted a gas bar attendant and demanded cash. They left with an undisclosed amount of money.

The second incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. at a hair salon in the 3000 block of Grant Avenue. Two male suspects entered the salon and confronted store employees with a knife and pepper spray. The two men fled the salon in a vehicle with an undetermined amount of cash.

Just before midnight the suspects attended another gas bar in the 3000 block of Portage Avenue. The suspects confronted the clerk with a knife demanding cash. After obtaining the cash the two men began to ransack the space at which time the employee was able to leave the gas kiosk and lock the suspects in.

The men eventually made their way out and police were able to track down their vehicle in the area of Tuxedo Boulevard and Corydon Avenue.

The suspect vehicle came to a stop after colliding with another car on Ness Avenue.

Police have arrested and charged 28-year old Troy Jason Burrows and 28-year old Kyle Gordon Nesbitt with numerous counts of robbery and driving offences.'

Both men have been detained in custody.
