The children of a 33-year-old man called police after their father didn't come up from the bottom of a swimming hole.

The drowning happened at around 6:00 p.m. Saturday night.

RCMP say the family had been at a swimming hole on a rural property southeast of MacGregor.

The Portage la Prairie water rescue team pulled the man's body from the water.

An autopsy is scheduled in Brandon later in the week.

RCMP say foul play is not suspected, but an investigation is ongoing.
