Winnipeg police have arrested suspects in a robbery that saw two 18-year-old women and an 18-year-old man robbed and assaulted during an incident that lasted an hour and a half.

Two 18-year-old women and an 18-year-old man had left Polo Park on July 12 around 4 p.m. and walked to a creek near the railway bridge east of Empress and Westway.

The victims were surrounded by a group armed with a knife.

The man was assaulted and one of the women was robbed of her bank card and PIN. Cellphones and cash were also stolen from the victims.

One of the suspects wore a clown mask.

After an hour and a half, the victims were able to leave and contacted police.

On July 17, police arrested suspects.

Officers arrested a 17-year-old male and a 19-year-old male near Denson Place and Wolever Avenue.

Dylan Carmen Anderson, 19, faces three counts of robbery and forcible confinement. The 17-year-old teen faces the same charges, along with failing to comply with a disposition.

Officers said further arrests are pending.
