WINNIPEG - Blue Bomber coach Tim Burke was left scrambling to replace his top receiver Wednesday, after Cory Watson was injured on the last play of the week's last practice.

Burke bit his tongue when asked to comment on the hit by safety Dan West.

He said the rule is you don't hurt your teammates.

Watson was going for a long ball down near the sidelines and as he caught it he pushed West off, and West came back to shove him out of bounds.

Watson went tumbling and almost hit the team's camera and stayed on the ground until he was helped, limping, off the field.

With 215 yards so far this season, he is well ahead as the team's leading receiver and Burke's replacement options are few with the Toronto Argonauts visiting Friday.
