Winnipeg officials hope technology will help improve city services like snow clearing, mosquito fogging and street maintenance.
Councillors on the public works committee heard the KnowYourZone app for snow removal is almost ready for use.
Pending approval of the budget, the department is set to place GPS tracking devices on city trucks to better monitor when sanding, salting, street sweeping, and fogging is done.
The city is also eyeing an app for those services too.
