Collision on Chief Peguis sends one to hospital

WINNIPEG – One person has been taken to hospital following a collision on Chief Peguis Trail and Gateway Road Saturday night.

The City of Winnipeg told CTV News, around 7:54 p.m. crews from the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service were called to the intersection for a “motor vehicle accident.” Winnipeg police said the incident involved a vehicle and a pedestrian.

The pedestrian, a woman in her 30’s was taken to hospital in critical condition. Police said the driver of the vehicle remained on scene.

The traffic division is investigating the collision. Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the collision to contact investigators at (204) 986-7085 or Crime Stoppers at (204) 786 – TIPS (8477).
