Crystal meth worth $420K seized from vehicle during traffic stop

A B.C. man is facing multiple charges after Winnipeg police seized crystal meth from a vehicle on Portage Avenue on Sunday.

Shortly before 12 p.m., officers pulled over a vehicle in the 3500 block of Portage Avenue.

Officers said a search of the vehicle uncovered crystal methamphetamine with a street value of $420,000.  

Mohammed Akrawi, 37, of Vancouver, B.C. faces multiple charges, including possessing a controlled substance and possessing a substance for the purpose of trafficking, said police.
