Two separate shootings on Pritchard Avenue and in East St. Paul that injured three people Monday are connected, according to the Winnipeg Police Service.

The first incident occurred in the 400 block of Pritchard Avenue involving a 38-year-old man, who was shot and critically injured.

Police said the suspects then robbed two people, forced them into a vehicle and fled the area.

The suspects drove to the area of Raleigh Street between Glenway and Foxgrove avenues in East St. Paul. Police said the suspects then shot the two victims, before fleeing once again in the same vehicle.

RCMP said a light coloured four-door car with three males inside was seen leaving the area in East St. Paul, and was believed to be connected to the shooting.

Both WPS and RCMP have determined through their investigation that these two shooting incidents are related.

According to police, efforts to locate the suspects are on-going and further details will be provided as they become available.
