The City of Winnipeg says the Amalgamated Transit Union continues to refuse overtime.

Now, Winnipeg Transit says it can't provide full service on all its routes.

Starting Tuesday, May 19, delays and cancellations are expected for 18 morning rush hour routes, including routes: 18, 22, 25, 30, 31, 34, 40, 41, 44, 46, 57, 58, 59, 68, 162, 163, 181 and 183.

Thirteen afternoon rush hour commutes will be affected, including routes: 11, 16, 18, 25, 29, 38, 41, 48, 54, 58, 162, 163 and 183.

More than 130,000 daily Winnipeg Transit riders can expect an increase in late or cancelled bus services.

Winnipeg Transit asks all users to be prepared for delays and to make alternate travel plans.

Winnipeg Transit says it relies on voluntary overtime to ensure full bus service.

It says reduced overtime means it can't guarantee that full service on all its transit routes.

Customers are advised to check winnipegtransit.com for schedules, or call 311 for the latest service information.

Handi-Transit is run by a private contractor, and its riders will not be affected.
