Founding artistic director of the Winnipeg folk festival Mitch Podolak is also receiving the honour.
Chad Allan is being inducted for his role in the creation of the Guess Who and Bachman-Turner Overdrive.
Hockey players Jonathon Toews and Sheldon Kennedy also join the order.
Seven others will also be inducted July 9th at the Manitoba legislature.
