The man rescued from a Northern Manitoba trailer fire that killed three children, has died.

Simon Nicholas, age 57, died in hospital Friday, more than two weeks after he was pulled out of a burning mobile home in Pukatawagan.

The blaze claimed the lives of Nicholas's three young nephews. RCMP, who are still investigating the cause of the blaze, say they were never able to interview the man because of his severe injuries.

The Manitoba Fire Commissioner's Office has been examining the trailer for clues to what caused the fire.
