Health Canada is advising Canadians about a voluntary recall of Allmax-brand Rapidcuts Shredded capsules.

The product is promoted as a work-out stimulant and fat-burner, and is sold at various retail outlets across Canada.

They are taking the fat-loss product off the shelves because it contains a prescription drug not listed on the label.

In a news release about the recall, Health Canada says taking prescription drugs unwittingly and without the supervision of a healthcare professional can pose serious health risks.

The two lots of the drug are bottles of 90 capsules with lot number G4016A (Exp: Jun 2019) and bottles of 45 capsules with lot number G4016 (Exp: Jun 2019).

Health Canada says the drug which was omitted from the label is yohimbine hydrochloride.
