There were some big winners at Club Regent casino Thursday night but not at the blackjack tables or slot machines.

The CFL handed out hardware at its annual awards show ahead of the 103rd Grey Cup.

The award winners were selected by the Football Reporters of Canada from all CFL markets as well as CFL head coaches.   There were 75 total votes in each category.

Blue Bombers defensive lineman Jamaal Westerman was in the running for Most Outstanding Canadian but lost out to Ottawa Redblacks wide receiver Brad Sinopoli.  Sinopoli got 47 out of a possible 75 first-place votes.

No surprises for the league's Most Outstanding Player award.  Redblacks quarterback Henry Burris, 40, received 71 of 75 first-place votes.  He beat out Calgary Stampeders quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell for the MOP nod.
