Police are looking for a suspect after a teen was groped on a transit bus Monday night.
The incident happened at around 9:45 p.m. on Route 17, which travels from the Seven Oaks to Wolseley areas.
Police said an unknown man sat down next to a 16-year-old girl and groped her. Another woman riding the bus intervened, and the teen moved to the front of the bus and told the driver.
Officials said the victim wasn’t physically harmed.
Police said the suspect denied groping the victim, and fled the bus in the area of McDermot Avenue and Frances Street.
Police describe the suspect as an Aboriginal man, about 20 to 30-years-old, about six foot two inches (187 centimetres) tall with a skinny build, dark, curly hair and a cast on his right hand.
An investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 204-986-6668.
