A lengthy drug and weapons trafficking investigation has led to charges against three people. Police have arrested two of the suspects, but one person remains at large.

Members of the Winnipeg Police Service and the RCMP assisted in the seven-month-long investigation, part of Project DARE, focusing on a drug trafficking operation in Winnipeg, which started in September 2014.

Police seized approximately 1.5 kg of cocaine, 27 ounces of methamphetamine, 900 grams of MDMA, and two pounds of marijuana, along with $100,000 in cash, several firearms and ammunition. They also seized a 2006 Lexus IS 350.

On March 12, police executed search warrants at two residences in Winnipeg, one in East Kildonan and one downtown. They also arrested a suspect at Stony Mountain Institution.

Police arrested two people for their alleged involvement. Zack Rorie Zarichney and Chris Steven Karalash, both 23 years old, face numerous drug and weapons charges. Police are still looking for Suong Gueck Khau, 32 years old.
