Winnipeg police released more details in the investigation into the murder of Simone Sanderson, 23.

Officers found Sanderson’s body in the area of Burrows Avenue and Main Street on Sept. 2, 2012.

Police announced Wednesday that an investigation has shown Sanderson was last seen alive on Aug. 26, 2012. She was known to frequent the Burrows and Main area, near where her body was found.

“It is believed Sanderson utilized social media platforms to make contact with potential sex trade clients,” said Winnipeg police in a press release.
