A waitress says she served Derek Harvey-Zenk eight or nine beers the night he crashed into Crystal Taman's car and killed her.

Chelsea O'Halloran took the stand at the Taman Inquiry Wednesday. She testified that she stayed late at her restaurant to serve a group of off-duty police officers.

She said many officers were intoxicated leaving the restaurant.

She told the inquiry her boss, Rodrigo Bravo, told her not to tell investigators how much Zenk had been drinking. She says he told her to "play dumb and act like she didn't remember."

"He asked me not to say much more than I needed to, to keep my answers short and brief," she said, "because he didn't want to be held liable for anything and he was friends with some of [the police]."

Bravo took the stand briefly Wednesday, and is expected to give more of his testimony Thursday morning.
