Two men have been arrested after police allegedly saw a gun sticking out of a duffle bag during a traffic stop in Winnipeg.

Officers pulled over a vehicle in the area of McGregor Street and McAdam Avenue Monday at about 10 p.m.

A statement from Winnipeg police alleges officers saw the gun protruding from a duffle bag in the back seat.

The vehicle's driver and a passenger were arrested.

John Alcudia, 19, and Ksamil Kalturnyk, 24, both of Winnipeg, were charged with weapons offences and held in custody at the Winnipeg Remand Centre.
