Winnipeg police have made an arrest in a Tuesday-night armed robbery and are looking for suspects in another attempted robbery.

Around 7:15 p.m. a man armed with a knife went into a business in the 500 block of Broadway and demanded cash. Police said the man fled before receiving any cash or property. No one was injured in the attempted robbery, and police are now looking for a suspect.

Just hours later at 10:30 p.m., a man armed with a knife robbed a business in the 500 block of St. Mary’s Road. He made off with cash and cigarettes, police said.

Officers now have a suspect in custody. No one was injured in the robbery.
