An autopsy has shown drowning was the cause of death for a 20-year-old man whose body was found in the Red River.

The body of Braden Andersen was pulled Tuesday from the river near the Alexander Docks.

Andersen went missing early Saturday after attending a wedding in the Exchange District.

The man's clothes were left near the river, which led police to the water search.

RCMP say they are still waiting results of a toxicology report, but have determined the cause of death to be drowning and police do not suspect foul play.

Andersen was from the Falcon Beach area in eastern Manitoba.
