Police seek public's help locating man in connection to child-abduction investigation

Winnipeg police are asking for help locating a man in connection with a child-abduction investigation.

Police believe Dominic and Abby Maryk were abducted by their father Kevin Maryk in 2008.

The children's mother issued a please for their safe return after they went missing.

Police said Robert Groen, 41, is believed to have assisted Kevin Maryk in the abduction.

Groen was last seen leaving his Winnipeg residence on Feb. 6, 2011.

He is believed to have left the country and his current whereabouts are unknown.

Groen is currently wanted on a Canada-wide warrant.

Anyone who may have had contact with Groen over the past two years, or who has information about his location, or the child abduction case, is asked to contact the missing persons unit at 986-6250.
