Winnipeg police are asking for the public's help locating a wanted man.

On Nov. 13, around 10:30 p.m. three suspects armed with weapons broke into a residence in the 500 block of Talbot Avenue in search of a person, said officers.

The residence was empty and suspects fled into the rear lane of the 400 block of Riverton Avenue after being spotted by a neighbour.

In the back lane, the suspects confronted a 65-year-old man working in his garage. The suspects made their way into the garage, pulled out a gun and demanded money, said police. The victim managed to flee into his residence and police were called.

Two suspects were located in the area while a third escaped.

Officers said Joseph Lavallee, 24, is wanted by police. He has a tattoo of "JL" on his right forearm and "WA" his left hand, along with "Nicky" on his chest.

Anyone with information on his location is asked to contact investigators at 986-2857 or Crime Stoppers at 786-8477.
