Premier Brian Pallister is promising to attract more investment to Manitoba.

During his annual State of the Province address the Premier announced former Winnipeg Chamber CEO Dave Angus and business owner Barb Gamey will develop a new economic development strategy.

The province says a Deloitte report it commissioned found the current system has significant overlap and limited coordination between various programs.

The report calls for a brand new agency to be formed, dedicated to economic development with programs offered in one shop.

Angus and Gamey will come forward with a strategy within six months.
