The racing community has come together to fundraise for Alyssa Selman and her family. The benefit social will be held on Sunday at Assiniboia Downs from 7:00 p.m. til midnight.
Selman, the jockey that was seriously injured at Assiniboia Downs, is in stable condition at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg. She suffered a serious back injury back in June, when her horse stumbled and she was thrown to the ground.
Trust funds have been setup up at the Assiniboine Credit Union and Access Credit Union. Donations can be made to the “Alyssa Selman Trust Fund” at any branch in the province.

In the last 12 days, a GoFundMe campaign has raised over $10,000 for Selman and her family.
