RM in southeastern Manitoba issues fire ban due to dry conditions

Officials with the RM of Franklin issued a fire ban notice on March 20.

The RM said conditions in the area are extremely dry.

"This ban does not include outdoor fires contained within an enclosed fire pit or solid fuel burning appliances," said the RM in an email.

The RM of Franklin is located in southeastern Manitoba, approximately 80 kilometres south of Winnipeg.
