RCMP are investigating after a car crash in the RM of La Broquerie killed one man and sent two women to hospital.

Officers and emergency services rushed to Highway 12 at Provincial Road 303 around 6:30 p.m. Friday.

There they found a car and van had collided at a stop-sign controlled intersection.

The driver of the car, a 59-year-old man from the RM of Franklin, was pronounced dead at the scene, RCMP said.

His passenger, a 49-year-old woman, was rushed to hospital. The driver of the van, a 48-year-old woman from St. Pierre-Jolys, was also rushed to hospital, said RCMP.

Police continue to investigate what caused the crash but said road conditions and visibility appeared to be good in the area at the time of the collision.
