Road to recovery continues for Winnipeg bodybuilder

Published:

Bodybuilder takes stage after life-altering crash Shane Dyck took to the bodybuilding stage for the second time after a life-altering crash left him paralyzed.

A Winnipeg bodybuilder is proving no challenge is too big to overcome.

“This kind of stuff kind of fuels the fire in a way, because obviously I have a disability or disadvantage against every able body person that's in there competing,” said Dyck.

Shane Dyck was in a life-altering car crash two years ago -- when he flew off his motorcycle.

Dyck broke 28 bones and became paralyzed from the neck down.

Doctors fused his spine together so he could walk again.

On Saturday, he competed in his second body building competition since that crash.

Dyck has a surgery coming up this summer.

He says he can't wait for unlimited cheat meals.
