Winnipeg police and fire officials are investigating the cause of a fire that forced 14 people from their home Friday night.

Just before 11 p.m. fire crews rushed to a rooming house in the 100 block of Euclid Avenue.

The fire began on the third floor of the three storey building and forced emergency services to evacuate the home. No one was injured in the blaze, officials said.

By the time the fire was extinguished it caused $450,000 damage.

Fire officials and the Arson Strike Force are now investigating the cause of the blaze.
