Winnipeggers who are still holding on to old blue boxes or trash bins can put them to good use by donating them to Winnipeg Harvest this weekend.

The food bank is asking that residents donate the bins for food collection, emergency hamper delivery, storage and its gardening program.

They've set up three depots around town to drop off useable blue boxes and garbage containers this month. Saturday is the last day for donations to be made.

Garbage tins with lids or blue boxes are accepted and can be dropped off at 849 Ravelston Avenue West between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
