The search is continuing to locate a missing 33-year-old woman from Fisher Branch.

Nancy Swenty was last seen on July 27.

She was reported missing to RCMP on July 28 after she did not show up for work.

Co-workers said Swenty's pet was later found locked inside a bedroom at her home.

"The dog, from what I understand, was found in the bedroom and she only did that when people came over because the dog would growl," said Jim Cruikshank, manager of the Co-op where Swenty works.

Family and friends have grown even more concerned after Swenty's vehicle later located.

Her truck was found on July 30 in the Fraserwood area, more than 50 km away from her home in Fisher Branch.

"I thought it would be relief, but it's not, it's worse – that they didn't find her," said Lucy Bernier, who is friends with Swenty.

People in the Fraserwood area said they saw several police cruisers at an old abandoned farm house over the last few days.

Bernier said Swenty would never leave without telling anyone.

"It'd be nice to know where she is. I hope she's safe," said Bernier.

"We need to know where she is. Her mother needs to know where she is. This is going to kill her. This isn't good," said Cruikshank.

Fisher Branch RCMP are asking anyone with information about Swenty to call officers at (204) 372-8484.
