A woman remains in critical condition Friday morning after a serious crash at Century Street and Wellington Avenue.
Emergency services rushed to the 800 block of Century around 7:30 p.m. Thursday night where they found a semi-truck had hit two women.
A 22-year-old woman was rushed to hospital in critical condition, police said. A 24-year-old woman was also taken to hospital but has since been released.
The 47-year-old man who was driving the semi was not injured in the crash.
Police believe the two women were walking northbound down Century between Wellington and Dublin when they were hit by the white Freightliner semi, which was also traveling north.
The crash closed the street for several hours while police investigated.
A semi pulled over at the scene could be seen with visible damage to the front driver's side.
Winnipeg police continue to investigate.
