Serious crash at Lagimodiere sends one to hospital in critical condition
Two people remain in hospital Saturday after a serious collision on Lagimodiere Boulevard.
On Friday, the Winnipeg Police Service (WPS) posted on X that emergency personnel were responding to the crash.
On Saturday, WPS Const. Jason Michalyshen told CTV News the male driver of the mangled vehicle is in stable condition. The female passenger sustained significant injuries in the crash and was transported to hospital in critical condition, but has since been upgraded to unstable condition.
Michalyshen said the couple’s dog was also in the car at the time of the crash, but managed to run away to safety.
North and southbound lanes between Fermor Avenue and Abinoji Mikanah were closed to traffic, but were reopened around 9:30 p.m.
Police say it’s too soon in the investigation to say if any charges will be laid.
