Health officials said Seven Oaks Hospital’s emergency room will direct ambulances to other facilities for several hours Monday night.

Services are being maintained at Seven Oaks, but work needs to be completed on an electrical panel Sept. 9, meaning some areas won’t have power and staff will need to see fewer patients, said the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority.

The Seven Oaks ER will remain open to any who needs treatment and people in the catchment area can still come into the department, said the WRHA.

If there is a large influx of patients, the electrical work will be suspended.
